National mascot of Cuba?
These buggers are everywhere in Cuba. There was even one in my room. I thought maybe their national mascot should be the lizard.
This shot was taken with my Tokina 80-400mm lens extended to 400mm. I do not recall whether I used manual focus or automatic for the shot but I am very happy with the lens for getting close-up shots like this. The photo turned out sharp. I sharpened it a tad bit more in IrfanView to bring out the details of the lizard's skin.

Invasion of What?
What are these bugs? I've never seen them before. I saw them at my parents' place the other day. Lots of them in soil or grassy areas.
