- Create a shot list--who, what groups, what poses to shoot
- Designate a family member to help coordinate family photo shoots
- Survey the location before the wedding
- Prepare for the day--not just photo gears but also the venue and program
- Manage expectations--show previous work before the wedding
- Turn off the sound on the camera--ok, I am not sure how one would go about doing this but I agree
- Shoot small details
- Bring two cameras with different lens focal lengths
- Two photographers--much easier than one
- "Be bold but not obtrusive"
- Use diffused or bounced light
- Shoot in RAW
- Display photos during reception
- Avoid distracting backgrounds
- Do not discard "mistake" shots
- Use different perspectives and angles
- Use fill flash outdoors
- Use continuous shooting mode
- Prepare for the unexpected
- Have fun!
